Dancing
with Color
The
Painted Caravan Gallery in Johnson VT is proud to
present "Dancing With Color", Featuring Artists
George Pearlman, Andrea Pearlman, Dohrn Zachai and
Meg Mcdevitt. The show runs from June 4-July 16
with the Artist reception Sunday June 4 from 3-6pm.
The Gallery is open Thur-Sun 12-6pm, located just 1
mile west of Johnson Center on Route 15.
Each
artist in "Dancing With Color" tackles color from a
different angle but through their processes,
captures the emotional qualities of color integral
to the resulting images.
Haunting and playful, the color in Dohrn
Zachai's pieces balance between being about the
emotion of color and the emotion of the image. The
fluid exchange of her color choices enhance the
rhythmic imagery that charge her works.
George Pearlman uses fields of color to push
and pull your eye through his paintings, taking the
viewer on a journey of emotional responses as
fields of color compete for their place in his
paintings.
Andrea Pearlman uses a more organic fluid
approach to color, allowing the color to pull you
through her work in a more intuitive way.
Meg Mcdevitt bridges the gap between the
push and pull of color with her work in folded
paper.
Together these Artists take the viewer through the
dance of color, whether it is with the exacting
steps of a Viennese waltz or the exciting jump of
the jitterbug.
